Collages

A while ago (potentially about six months at this point), I had posted a few sets of collages based on old photographs. The show for them never ended up happening, due to a variety of reasons, but it is still an interesting project to go back to from time to time. Recently, I found picked up a few more old photographs in a local antique shop, so there will probably be more of these in the future.

In the meantime, here are three more:

Collage Show

So, the lovely Miss Victoria Belisle ( http://victoriambelisle.blogspot.com/ ) and I have teamed up for a very interesting project - series of collages based on old cabinet photo portraits. The pictures we've found are all from around 1890 to around 1915, and we've been having quite a bit of fun making up stories and connections for them and theming the collages around the personalities.

Both of our pieces will eventually be mounted in a show at Montserrat's Bear Gallery, although the specific date is still pending. More information to come!
