I’m sure this will come as no surprise to anyone, but I love the character Kate Bishop.
(Also, anyone who is not yet reading Matt Fraction’s run of Hawkeye comics should check it out.)

It’s been a little while since I’ve last drawn archers. This needed to be remedied!
(thanks to Sycca’s Stock and Kxhara for photo reference - much easier this way)

Another quick doodle - two of my own characters, Catelina Laurentius de Alva and Bergdis Hrafnsdottir.

Last week I was introduced to the play The Lion in Winter - and it was a wonderful read. I’ll have to track down the film at some point, but in the meantime I have my own rather vivid image of several of the scenes.
So, it seemed to make perfect sense to do a few sketches. Here are the first couple. There will likely be more coming (and a few finished pieces as well, I’m sure).

My submission for the October Tale of Neil Gaiman’s Calendar of Tales. I really loved this story - it was wonderfully sweet, and I had a great deal of fun with this painting.

In the end, I’ve decided to submit two pieces to the Calendar of Tales. (Again, anyone who has missed this amazing project - follow the link!)
Here is my illustration for the February Tale.

Somehow, I ended up doing a drawing for the March Tale of Neil Gaiman’s Calendar of Tales. I’m not sure how this happened - it wasn’t even one of the stories I had initially done a sketch for. Nor were markers the medium I had intended to work in.
I have four more illustrations sitting on my desk, to be finished in the next couple of days. Not sure yet which of them I’ll be submitting (I have until the eleventh - that’s time, right?), but I thought that I would at least share this here for now. Stay tuned, friends.

I had a stressful day on Thursday.

(I could never get the hang of Thursdays)
